Notice how the speakers use prepositions to say where things are:

Useful structures:

  • "I keep my keys in my pocket..."
  • "I keep my slippers under my bed..."
  • "I keep my keys on the door..."
  • "I keep my phone in the bag..."

Prepositions of place:

  • in - в, у (внутрі / внутри)
  • on - на (на поверхні / на поверхности)
  • under - під (под / под)

Remember: Use in for containers and enclosed spaces. Use on for surfaces.

Try It Yourself

Write about where you keep your things:

Example: I keep my phone in my pocket. I keep my books on the desk. I keep my clothes in the wardrobe. My keys are on the hook near the door.
